We are a family based genealogical research business. Helping others research their Lancaster County roots.
The Ancestor Keeper has been researching family history for over 30 years. A very experienced researcher and historian, currently going to college for Social Sciences. Let us help you discover your Lancastrian roots!
Our Heritage
Our family stems from the Baughman/Bachman and Melsom lines. For many generations, the Baughman/Bachman line has been in Lancaster County. The Melsom family line has been in Lancaster County since 1880. The Johnson and McGrath lines stem mostly from Philadelphia area.
We have over 29,000 names in our database and still counting. All done with love and remembrance, a celebration of the lives they led.

Our ancestors are the beginning of us, as their ancestors were the beginning of them. Our descendants will have something to take with them on their journey of finding out who they are, why they are the way they are and feel a connection to the rich history that was left to them.

In the heart of Amish country; Lancaster County was established on 10 May 1729 from Chester County and is the 4th county that was organized in Pennsylvania.
In Pennsylvania Dutch, we are known as
Lengeschder Kaundi.
Lancaster County was named after the city of Lancaster in the county of Lancashire in England, the native home of John Wright, one of the early settlers.
